The relationship between the comedian couple was good up until their divorce. The fans of both comedians aspired to their relationship and always saw the happy side of the couple. However, a joint announcement was made by the couple who decided that their time as a married couple was over.

Lucy Beaumont and Jon have also worked together in the TV series ‘Meet the Richardsons’. According to the couple, they have portrayed “an exaggerated version of themselves” in a fictional life. The statement which was made jointly by Jon and Lucy is as follows:

After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways. As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy be respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment.

The 41-year-old British comedian was nominated for best female performance in a comedy TV program. She got this nomination for ‘Meet the Richardsons’ in the year 2023 at Baftas. Lucy also appeared on the panel for comedy shows like ‘Would I Lie To You?’, ‘The Last Leg’, and ‘Have I Got News For You’.

Ricardson was a captain of the team on 8 out of 10 Cats. He has also appeared on several other panel shows. Back in 2018, he started a panel show by the name ‘Jon Richardson: Ultimate Warrior’. The couple have done wonderful things in the past. Back in 2022, Richardson and Beaumont raised money for fundraising. In total, the couple managed to raise 12,000 pounds and this amount was given to those families which were affected by the cost of living. The comedian couple performed at a fundraising gig at Netherthorpe School, located in Chesterfield. Lucy Beaumont was the former teacher at this school, and she aimed to give back to those families who were in dire need of help.

Jon Agreed For Mega Payout

Comedian Jon Richardson has agreed to give a major checkout to his ex-wife Lucy Beaumont. The couple had already filed for divorce after 9 years of marriage. 5 months after their divorce, Jon decided to give around 1.625 million pounds to Lucy.

Both the comedians had made a revenue of 6 million pounds from their show ‘Meet the Richardsons’. It was also revealed that both of them had shares in the company. This is why according to some close sources, Jon paid Lucy 1.625 million pounds for her share.

Some report state that Jon even had to pay 8,125 pounds after he decided to buy the stake of Lucy in the business ‘This Guy at Night Limited’. According to another source, the company is valued at 4 million pounds as of last year. The comedian couple are still the joint owners of the 1-million-pound home which has a pool attached to it located in Yorkshire. They also have another 1-million-pound apartment on the outskirts of North London.

Marriage Between Jon & Lucy

Lucy and Jon started dating each other back in 2013. They both met each other through a common friend, Roisin Conaty, and they started to work together on some of the shows. This made their bond quite strong.

After the couple began falling in love with each other, they decided to get married in April 2015. However, their marriage faced some downside when the couple announced for divorce in April of 2024. This announcement of divorce was made just some days after they launched the 5th series of their comedy show ‘Meet the Richardsons’. The couple share one daughter and now they have decided to co-parent her.

It is understood by most of the fans that during their shows, the couple fights as an act of performance. Sometimes, some fans believe that they are fighting in real life. However, Lucy dismissed such rumors, and she stated back in 2023 that:

It’s been great, but I see comments on social media and people don’t seem to realize it’s not real. I don’t henpeck – we wouldn’t have lasted this long if I was as mean to him in real life. You don’t want to see a smug couple in love, in a nice house, with a stable career and a lovely little child. Who wants to see that? I wasn’t doing it if we were going to be like that. We’ll show the other side where we’re just at each other constantly. It’s a more truthful portrayal.
